About MultiCam Studio Pro

MultiCam Studio Pro is an OBS-style production studio that runs entirely inside your web browser. Add cameras, screen shares and microphones to a live canvas, arrange them exactly how you want, and record broadcast-style video without installing anything.

What the application does

MultiCam Studio Pro turns a browser tab into a small television gallery. You connect the devices you already have — webcams, capture cards, USB microphones, a second screen — and the app composites them together on a single 1920×1080 program canvas. Every source can be dragged, resized, layered, rounded and given a drop shadow, so the finished recording looks designed rather than accidental.

When you are happy with the look, you press record. The application encodes the canvas and the mixed audio into a single video file that downloads straight to your computer. There is no upload step, no render queue, and no account to create.

Why it exists

The idea came out of a very ordinary problem. While working on a friend's laptop, there was no desktop recording software installed, no permission to install any, and no simple web-based alternative that could record a proper multi-source video. Existing browser tools could capture one camera or one screen — never a composed, broadcast-style layout.

MultiCam Studio Pro was built to close that gap: a studio you can open on any machine, use immediately, and close again without leaving anything behind.

Who it is for

  • Creators and YouTubers recording talking-head videos with a screen-share inset.
  • Teachers and trainers producing lessons that mix a camera, slides and a document camera.
  • Podcasters and interviewers who need separate camera angles composed into one file.
  • Product teams recording demos where the app, the presenter and a second view all matter.
  • Anyone on a borrowed or locked-down computer who cannot install recording software.

Privacy: everything stays on your device

Your camera, microphone and screen never leave the browser. There is no server that receives your video, no cloud storage, and no recording is kept anywhere except the file you choose to save. Scene layouts and preferences are stored locally in your browser so the studio looks the same next time you open it.

The site uses privacy-friendly analytics that only run after you accept cookies in the consent banner. Declining has no effect on the studio itself.

What you need to run it

  • A modern desktop browser — Chrome, Edge, Brave or Opera give the best results; Firefox and Safari support most features.
  • Permission to use your camera and microphone, which the browser asks for the first time you enable devices.
  • A reasonably recent computer: each additional live camera costs CPU, and eight simultaneous 1080p sources is demanding on older laptops.
  • Enough free disk space for the recording, which is written to your downloads folder when you stop.

Mossawir Ahmed

A Karachi-born technologist who has been building for the web since 1998, when his first HTML and CSS site went live on Geocities. Two decades of hands-on development later, that same curiosity turned into MultiCam Studio Pro — an attempt to make multi-camera production available to anyone with a browser.

Feedback, feature requests and bug reports are always welcome at mossawirahmed@gmail.com.
