MultiCam Studio Pro is an OBS-style production studio that runs entirely inside your web browser. Add cameras, screen shares and microphones to a live canvas, arrange them exactly how you want, and record broadcast-style video without installing anything.
The Mission
What the application does
MultiCam Studio Pro is a browser-based production studio that turns your computer into a complete multi-camera recording and live production workspace. Instead of relying on separate applications to manage cameras, microphones, screen capture, layouts, overlays, and recording, MultiCam Pro brings these tools together in one interface.
Connect the equipment you already have — webcams, USB cameras, capture cards, microphones, speakers, and additional displays — and combine them into a single production. You can use multiple cameras simultaneously, switch between camera angles, create picture-in-picture layouts, arrange sources side by side, or build custom scenes for different parts of your recording.
At the center of the application is a 1920×1080 production canvas. Every source can be positioned, resized, cropped, layered, transformed, and customized to create a professional-looking composition. You can place a presenter camera over a screen recording, create a multi-camera grid, add presentation content, or design your own layout. Visual elements can also be styled with rounded corners, borders, shadows, text, and other effects.
MultiCam Studio Pro is designed around scenes, allowing you to prepare different layouts in advance and switch between them during a recording. For example, you can have a full-screen camera scene for introductions, a screen-sharing scene for demonstrations, a two-camera interview layout, and a picture-in-picture scene for presentations. Hotkeys and scene controls make it possible to change the production without interrupting the recording.
The application also brings your audio sources into the same workflow. Multiple microphones can be connected and managed alongside your video sources, allowing you to create a synchronized production with both video and audio. Screen capture with audio can also be combined with camera feeds, making the application suitable for tutorials, online courses, product demonstrations, interviews, presentations, podcasts, livestream preparation, and content creation.
Once your production is ready, simply press Record. MultiCam Studio Pro composites the selected video sources and mixes the audio into a single recording. The processing happens directly in the browser, so the finished recording can be saved locally to your computer without first uploading your footage to a remote server.
There is no waiting for a cloud render queue and no need to upload large camera files before you can access your recording. The goal is to provide a fast, private, and straightforward production workflow: connect your devices, build your scene, record, and get your finished video.
MultiCam Studio Pro goes beyond being a simple webcam recorder. It combines multi-camera production, screen recording, scene composition, audio capture, overlays, live controls, and video editing into a single browser-based studio, giving creators many of the capabilities they normally need separate desktop production software to achieve.

The Origin
Why it exists
The idea came out of a very ordinary problem. While working on a friend's laptop, there was no desktop recording software installed, no permission to install any, and no simple web-based alternative that could record a proper multi-source video. Existing browser tools could capture one camera or one screen — never a composed, broadcast-style layout.
MultiCam Studio Pro was built to close that gap: a studio you can open on any machine, use immediately, and close again without leaving anything behind.
Privacy First
Everything stays on your device
Your camera, microphone and screen never leave the browser. There is no server that receives your video, no cloud storage, and no recording is kept anywhere except the file you choose to save. Scene layouts and preferences are stored locally in your browser so the studio looks the same next time you open it.
The site uses privacy-friendly analytics that only run after you accept cookies in the consent banner. Declining has no effect on the studio itself.

Each additional live camera costs CPU, and eight simultaneous 1080p sources is demanding on older laptops.
Free disk space for the recording
The finished file is written to your downloads folder when you stop — no render queue, no upload.

I am Mossawir Ahmed, a Karachi-born technologist with a lifelong passion for gadgets and digital innovation. My journey in web development began in 1998, when I built my first website using HTML and CSS on Geocities—a foundation that has since evolved into over two decades of hands-on experience across the full development spectrum.
Today, that same curiosity drives Multicam Studio, a web-based production platform I built to democratize multi-camera content creation. The application supports up to eight simultaneous camera feeds and audio inputs, empowering users to produce professional-quality online content with complete creative freedom.
The concept was born from a practical frustration: while working on a friend's laptop, I found that OBS was unavailable, and no viable web-based alternative existed for recording instant, broadcast-style videos. That gap inspired me to build a solution that is accessible, browser-native, and intuitive—eliminating the need for local installations while delivering the multi-source flexibility creators expect.
With AI-assisted development accelerating my workflow, I have been able to translate this long-standing idea into a fully functional, scalable reality—offering a seamless, lightweight alternative to traditional studio software, available anywhere, on any device.
